It is no longer necessary to reline a pipe from manhole-to-manhole in order to address one section of pipe. Now we can simply reline the area in need of repair. USA Pipe Repair uses the Perma-Liner™ Point Repair System which consists of a fiberglass reinforced Liner and Ambient Cured Resins.
The sectional point repairs are manufactured and delivered in a complete kit form. Each kit is sized to suit the diameter, length, and external loads. This process involves attaching the sectional point repair to a specialized bladder, then positioning the bladder over the damaged area inside the host pipe.
The bladder is then inflated and held in place until the thermo-setting resin is cured. Access points are required through upstream and downstream manholes. Prior to installation of the sectional point repair, the host pipe is cleaned and free of any foreign objects. This will allow adhesion to the host pipe material with the Point Repair.

Here at USA Pipe Repair, we use Perma-Liner™ Point Repair System, which is a fiberglass-reinforced liner and ambient cured resin. This repair system is delivered in a complete kit, which makes it easy to use, eliminating the need to reline a pipe from manhole to manhole. Each kit is sized to suit the length, diameter, and external loads of a pipe.
This process is relatively simple; prior to repair, we clean the host pipe and free it of any foreign objects. We attach the sectional point repair to an air bladder, then position the air bladder over the damaged area inside the host pipe. The air bladder is inflated and held in place until the thermosetting resin is cured. Access points are required for both upstream and downstream manholes. Because the host pipe was thoroughly cleaned and inspected, the resin will cure smoothly.
There are several benefits to sectional point repair. The epoxy resins are specially formulated for this purpose, and are then manufactured and sold in kit packaging; they exceed ASTM F1216 specifications. These kits not only eliminate roof intrusion, but bridge missing pipe sections, increase flow efficiency, and add a minimum of fifty years to the original pipe. This method of repair requires no digging, seals open joints, and the kits are sold from 2’ to 30’ lengths; they fit 6” to 54” diameter pipes and stop infiltration and exfiltration.
