Trenchless lining process

Numerous environmental factors can impact the lifespan and health of your water and sewer pipes. At USA Pipe Repair, we are experienced in the many uses of trenchless pipe lining in Richmond, VA. We use state-of-the-art trenchless technologies to diagnose and repair or replace both water and sewer pipes regardless of the cause of their failure.

Trenchless pipe lining is the ideal repair method for the following conditions:

  • Cracked or broken pipe
  • Clogged pipe
  • Leaking joints
  • Bellied pipe
  • Corrosion
  • Expired materials
  • Tree root invasion

Like most pipe lining companies, USA Pipe Repair utilizes a process called CIPP or cured in place pipelining to approach these and other pipe issues. This process starts with a thorough camera inspection of the pipe, which is then followed by a high-pressure cleaning of the inside of the pipe. Following a second camera inspection to assure that all debris has been removed, a flexible liner coated with epoxy is fed into the existing pipe. Once in place, the liner is inflated using either hot water or air and then heat is applied to allow the epoxy to cure or harden. After only a few hours the liner is removed, leaving a brand new pipe inside of the old pipe.

CIPP pipe lining has many advantages over older methods. The process is environmentally friendly, requiring no excavation and leaving minimal scars after the work is completed. Because there is no need for expensive excavation and repair, the cost of pipe lining is considerably lower than old-school methods. CIPP is also a time saver with the average repair taking only hours to a couple of days versus the days and weeks of prior repair methods.

In homes with older pipes that are still stable, cast iron pipe lining can be a viable method to restore the functionality of your water or sewer system. While cast-iron pipes do have an approximately 20-year lifespan, they are susceptible to cracks, breaks, leaks, and the introduction of unwanted minerals, including rust, into a home’s water.

If you find yourself in need of water or sewer pipe lining, USA Pipe Repair has the friendly professionals to handle your pipeline needs. Give us a call or fill out the form today to schedule an appointment with one of our highly-experienced technicians.
