What do you do when pipes underneath floors need repair or replacement? Excavation will destroy your property. For indoor work, trenchless pipe lining in Richmond, VA, makes it possible to repair or replace pipes while keeping them intact. The result is a durable, long-lasting pipe just the same.

Indoor Sewer Pipe Repairs

Trenchless methods keep surroundings and surfaces intact. This is what makes it the preferred repair procedure in indoor settings. You simply can’t just rip up and demolish floors, walls, and structures. Plus, the excavation, renovation, and extra materials demand more time and higher costs.

One of our projects involved such a case. We received the call for an indoor pipe repair job on September 4, 2013. It was for a sewer line that needed re-lining via cured-in-place pipe or CIPP pipe lining. The procedure was the only solution that could repair the pipe and keep the floor whole and intact.

The sewer pipe in an indoor setting was 30 feet with a 4-inch diameter. Sewer pipe lining was the best solution for restoring the sewer line while keeping the floor above it intact. The contractor already prepared the pipes. He provided the access point and did hydro jetting to make the pipe surfaces clean and clear for the procedure.

An hour later, we arrived to commence on the main part of the job. To accomplish the repair, we accessed the pipe outdoors, in the driveway, where the contractor’s access point was. The sewer line already dropped to 12 feet at the side of the driveway.

The job took 8 hours, from the time the contractor prepared the pipes to the final completion. The result was a seamless, jointless pipe. Our work was clean and left no traces of the heavy pipe lining beneath the floors. There was no need to do any major cleanup afterwards.
